In an interview with RMC Sport, Mario Sconcerti commented on the fact that Juventus have once again filed an appeal to challenge the assignment of the 2005-2006 Scudetto to Inter.
Due to the Calciopoli scandal that rocked Italian football almost 15 years ago, Juventus were stripped of several titles due to their involvement in the scandal.
The Bianconeri maintain that the decision to award another club with the title was the wrong decision and it should have just been left unassigned rather than assigned to Inter who finished in third place.
“Since Juventus is the one punished, the decision to appeal is the right one,” the noted journalist said.
“Here we are talking about the legitimacy of an appeal. That Scudetto was taken away from Juventus, but the problem is to understand if it was the right decision to assign the Scudetto to Inter, who finished at third place. I would have done the appeal as well.”
