Inter’s Dutch international central defender Stefan de Vrij stopped in the mixed zone at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, after the goalless Serie A draw against Sassuolo.

FcInterNews were among the journalists present and report on what the former Lazio man stated when responding to questions from the gathering press.

“You do not only defend with your defense, everything starts with what happens in front. But it is nice for us defenders not to concede that many goals.”

“Boateng  is very good in finding space, if you do not anticipate this you leave a lot of room behind the defensive line. You have to have a good communication with your teammates and I think we did pretty OK tonight.”

In conclusion De Vrij spoke about how it felt playing in front of a crowd consisting only of children: “It was a bit different, but beautiful. They made themselves heard tonight. You could hear that there were kids cheering, I hope they had a good time. We just had to score in order to make their night perfect.”
