Former Inter president Erick Thohir plans to invest some of the funds he has received for his remaining shares in the club from the LionRock Capital funds in to Indonesian media group VIVA according to a report from Indonesian broadcaster CNBC Indonesia.

Thohir bought Inter from long-serving president and owner Massimo Moratti back in 2013 and helped to stabilise the club before selling a majority stake in the club to current owners Suning in 2016. He maintained a 31.05% share in the club and was replaced as president of the club near the end of last year by Steven Zhang.

Last week he sold his remaining shares in the Nerazzurri for a rumoured €150 million to the aforementioned LionRock Capital fund.

CNBC Indonesia reached out to VIVA president Anindya Bakrie for a comment on the speculation but were unable to reach him for a comment. Thohir too was unable to comment on the matter.
