Further to Fiorentina’s medical report they released yesterday, Gazzetta dello Sport are now reporting that Viola duo German Pezzella and Kevin Mirallas are in doubt for the coming matches, including the one with Inter in little under two weeks time.
Central defender and club captain Pezzella has suffered a second degree injury to his medial collateral ligament and will spend at least a month and a half on the sidelines recovering from it.
Belgian attacker Mirallas on the other hand has suffered a first degree injury to his right leg. He will only likely be sidelined for 10 days but it leaves him with very little time to get himself ready for the game with Inter just two days later on February 24 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Pezzella has been near ever present for the Florence club making 24 appearances across all competitions this season while Mirallas has made 18 appearances across all competitions.
