Starting today, talks will re-commence between the club and Mauro Icardi in a bid to not only clear the air with the player but also re-launch talks with his wife/agent Wanda Nara over a new contract according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

It remains to be seen what the outspoken Wanda’s next steps will be and Inter are curiously awaiting to hear what she has to say when she next appears on television on Sunday as part of the Tiki Taka panel.

The report goes on to detail that Icardi has no intention of distancing himself from Wanda who has caused a lot of the tension in recent weeks with her public statements.

Inter are hoping to sign Icardi to a new deal but their offer is understood to fall some way short of his demands. They are prepared to offer him €7 million a season but Icardi and his agent would like closer to €10 million. The report concludes that Icardi and Wanda will sit down and discuss whether to accept the offer or decide to move on from the club.
