Mauro Icardi is still yet to offer an apology to his teammates in wake of the events of the past week, at least according to a report from Milan based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The Argentine striker was stripped of the captaincy and then refused the call-up for Inter’s match against Rapid Vienna and also sat out of Sunday’s 2-1 win over Sampdoria.

The report goes on to claim that Icardi will not set foot on the pitch again unless he is given the captain’s armband back – although the chances of that appear very slim at the moment.

His wife/agent Wanda Icardi has not been far from the controversy and is in fact convinced that Inter have made their mind up and will sell the 26-year-old come the Summer transfer window.

This season the prolific frontman has made 28 appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri and has scored 15 goals in the process.R
