According to Turin based Tuttosport, today is the moment of truth for Mauro Icardi, ahead of this weeks fixtures as the results of his medical exam will be analyzed.
According to the report: “If Volpi says that Maurito is okay to return to group training, then Mauro will have a big decision to make. He will have to make amends with his teammates and work hard to be ready in time for the weekend fixture against Fiorentina. Unlikely against Rapid Vienna, regardless if he gets the all clear, due to the amount of training his has missed. At the latest he could return against Cagliari, back at San Siro.”
Today could be a key day. Icardi has one of two choices: he can take a step in the right direction and appease his teammates and the coach, so he can start contributing again as soon as possible for the benefit of Inter, the club he loves.
Or he can continue to isolate himself, in which case we will enter a battle of pride which could get nasty for all parties.
