Inter have sent an agent to England to find out of clubs who could potentially be interested in striker Mauro Icardi according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Chelsea have shown an interest previously and they will be the first port of call to see if they remain interested in the Argentine, especially in light of the recent events.

Icardi was stripped of the Inter captaincy last week and has missed Inter’s past two games and looks set to miss the next two – at least – as well.

The 26-year-old told the club that he was suffering from some discomfort in his knee and Inter put him through medical testing in a bid to diagnose the problem.

The tests however did not bring back anything, the club confirmed. Nevertheless they have placed him on a recovery programme.

Whether truly injured or not, Icardi finds himself at a dead end and he cannot stay away from playing forever, even more so because he would put a potential call-up for the Copa America at serious risk.
