After the convincing 4-0 win against Rapid Vienna at Stadio San Siro, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti commented on the game to Inter TV and had the following to say.
“The team continues to fix some things where they had to do better.
“In the second half there was an exceptional quality, a quality that was crowned by beautiful goals that the crowd at San Siro deserves.”
Spalletti then explained the reasoning for taking Lautaro Martinez off.
“We have a couple of players in that role that are currently injured, so we wanted to avoid another injury. Lautaro was fine and wanted to score, but we wanted to finish this game without any worries for the next game.”
He concluded by discussing some problems Inter had down the right hand side.
“Problems on right side depends on what kind of move develops. Usually the fullback has two choices when setting up an attack. Either they play it centrally or a long ball towards our wingers.
“In that aspect there are still some things where we have to improve.”
