Lautaro Martinez has revealed that he feels Inter are missing Mauro Icardi, who sat out for the third straight game as Inter ran riot against Rapid Vienna, winning 4-0 with relative ease.
“We miss him a lot on the field,” the striker, who started and played just over an hour, said in an interview with Fox Sports Argentine after the match last night at San Siro.
The young striker has a close relationship with his compatriot, who was recently stripped of the Inter captaincy and added: “For me he is a very important person, he helped me at Inter in my early days with the club.”
He concluded the interview by speaking about the recent controversy between Icardi and the club.
“The conflict is between him and the club and it is up to them to solve it. He remains a very important player for the team and we will for him to return.”
