Mauro Icardi’s condition will be re-evaluated in training today according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Last week Icardi underwent testing having alerted the club he was feeling pain in his knee and while the tests performed then returned nothing, he still sat out of Inter’s match away to Fiorentina last night.

The Argentine has missed Inter’s past four games as a result of this pain and it remains a mystery as to when he will make a return to first team action given the delicate situation he finds himself in at the club.

Today’s tests should give a  clearer indication as to when he may return to action although other reports in recent days have suggested he will be out of action for at least another two weeks minimum.

This season the 26-year-old has made 28 appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri. The former captain has scored 15 goals and tallied three assists in the process.
