Inter’s Argentinian striker, Lautaro Martinez had the following to say about what went down in Sardinia on Friday evening as Inter lost 2-1 to Cagliari.

“I think that we suffered a lot during the first half, then in the second half we did better and it is from there we have to restart everything, even though this is a difficult moment,” he remarked in an interview with broadcaster Rai Sport.

“I do not feel any pressure when it comes to replacing Icardi. I work twice as hard in order to give my best for Inter. Even when I come off the bench I try to give everything I have.”

He also looked ahead to Thursday’s match with Eintracht Frankfurt.

“Now we have to work hard during the week in order to be as prepared as we should be for the next encounter, which is against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.”
