At the end of the 1-0 loss against Frankfurt, Matteo Politano spoke briefly with Sky Sport in order to comment on the game, this is what he had to say about tonight’s defeat:
“There is a lot of disappointment. We wanted to pass this round, both for the team and for the fans, but we failed,” he began.
“Now we have to put our focus back on the league, we have the derby on Sunday and we couldn’t wish for a better match to play.
“What I would change about tonight? Nothing, after we conceded the goal we had the game in our hands without finding the right game. During the second half, they had a lot of chances to close the game.
“Now, we have to get back to work because when you lose, something is wrong, now we have to recover well in order to be ready for Sunday. Fortunately some players will return to the squad, we have to prepare well because this match we just have to win.”
