Alessandro Bastoni’s return to Inter ahead of the 2019/2020 season, isn’t at all a done deal according to Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

The young defender’s entourage are currently, together with Inter management, looking at whether or not to let the kid have one more year of continuous play in yet another loan deal. The consensus seems to be that it is better to have another year as a starter in the Serie A compared to standing in the shadows of Skriniar, De Vrij and Godin.

Should Bastoni leave Inter on a loan deal, the candidates for his signature are Parma, who would gladly keep the youngster for another 12 months and are currently in pole position, and Sampdoria.

Parma director Faggiano and coach D’Aversa have already expressed their desire for Bastoni several times, and at the end of January they approached Inter during the meetings for Brazao. Inter postponed any decision to after this season ends.

Sampdoria on the other hand, have questioned Inter about Bastoni in order for him to replace Andersen, who currently is wanted by Premier League clubs Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United.

A lot of clubs are after Bastoni, everything depends in Inter, who could place him on next year’s roster, although at the moment everything points to another year on loan.
