Corriere dello Sport believe that there will be a turning point to the ongoing saga between Mauro Icardi and Inter this coming Friday.
Icardi is scheduled to meet with Inter president Steven Zhang in what the Rome based newspaper regard to be the most important chapter of the soap opera yet.
Ahead of the meeting, Icardi and his wife, and agent, Wanda Icardi have been given assurances by the club and the report claims that he will remain with the club past this season as Inter still wish to build the future of Inter around him, despite the events of the past month or so.
The report from Corriere dello Sport goes on to detail that the dressing room is not as divided as first thought and that different factions do not exist, despite the leak in recent days from within the dressing room.
Icardi has made 28 appearances across all competitions this season for Inter – the last of which came on February 9 – in which he has scored 15 times.
