There are no meetings scheduled between Inter striker Mauro Icardi and club president Steven Zhang according to a report from La Repubblica.

The most recent – and ongoing – saga between Icardi and the club has now lasted some five weeks and multiple meetings between Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Icardi’s wife/agent Wanda Icardi as well as his lawyer Paolo Nicoletti have not brought a resolution to the problem.

Icardi, as per various reports, has long requested a meeting with Zhang but Inter’s youngest president in club history is against the idea of meeting with the troubled 26-year-old, who has not played for the club since the 1-0 win over Parma back on February 9.

La Repubblica report that Zhang does not wish to set a precedent for relations between the hierarchy and players down the line by meeting with Icardi on this occasion thus meaning it is entirely down to Marotta.
