According to a report from Spanish newspaper Sport, Barcelona have no intention of signing Ivan Rakitic to a new and improved contract.
Executives of the Catalan club have already held talks with the Croatian midfielder’s representatives and told them this while they also stressed that they do not wish to sell him.
The player has made it clear that he wishes to sit down with the club to talks things over at the end of the season as he is aware that things can change very quickly in football.
If he is unable to get his wishes of a new deal granted, it could lead to him exploring other possibilities away from the Nou Camp.
There is reported interest in his services from the Premier League whilst Inter are also understood to be very keen on signing him this Summer in a bid to help them take the next step.
