Inter manager Luciano Spalletti shared his disappointment at Inter’s 1-0 loss to Lazio on Sunday night in an interview with Inter’s in-house television channel Inter TV.

“Unfortunately, they scored the first goal while we missed many chances,” he said post-match at San Siro.

“They were very compact, especially in their defensive third, so it was difficult for us. We tried to break them down but then again by conceding the goal we made our life complicated.

“Can the defeat help us grow? It creates the prerequisites to always improve by working hard.”

Next he was asked about players recovering in time for Wednesday’s match against Genoa.

“It is clear that having played more minutes than those recovering from injuries that they can be more useful given the many matches coming up.”

He concluded by returning to speak on the loss to the Biancocelesti.

“We started the match well and also started well in the second half but in the final part of the first half we had a bit of a hard time chasing them. In the second half we lost a bit of order, but we had to recover the result and Lazio knew how to counter.”
