As part of his weekly newspaper column for Corriere della Sera, respected journalist Mario Sconcerti touched upon the managerial situation at Inter, looking specifically at next seasn.

“Conte will be the next Inter coach. This is not news but it is a conviction of mine about all the rumours and habits of football that I know,” he wrote.

“We are in April and the season ends in May. Inter already knows who will be the coach in July and if they know that then they also have a team in mind.”

Conte, who has been out of work since leaving Chelsea last Summer, has long been rumoured with succeeding current Inter manager Luciano Spalletti.

While Spalletti led Inter to Champions League football in his first season and is on course to do the same this year, Inter’s management want a coach at the helm who can help them take the next step.
