Mauro Icardi’s value has almost halved according to Gazzetta dello Sport who have no doubts that his prolonged absence from playing has caused his market value to decrease substantially.

The reality of Inter receiving the full €110 million, a price set by his release clause is now unlikely, in comparison to just a few months ago when it seemed too low.

This was a problem identified back in September by Ausilio who tried to renegotiate more favourable terms with his wife/agent Wanda.  But they were the good times. Back when Inter fans were full of ecstasy from his goal in the Champions League against Tottenham, along with his derby winning goal.

According to the Milan based newspaper, however, Icardi’s value is now around €60 million and the exchange with Paulo Dybala remains very complicated. So management are considering what to do with Icardi next season if they can not sell him. Will the situation change with the departure of Spalletti? Can Inter afford to dismiss Spalletti (€25 million in payouts to him and his staff)? Or, do they simply try to get as close to €110 million euros as possible?
