It is 90% certain that Diego Godin will complete a move to Inter in the Summer transfer window according to a report from ESPN.

A source close to the player has told ESPN that the veteran Uruguayan defender, who has been a stalwart for Atletico Madrid for a number of years, is almost completely certain to accept Inter’s three year contract offer that they have tabled him.

The same source refused to rule out that the 33-year-old could still stick around with Atleti but insisted that it was unlikely due to the contract policy the club have when it comes to players over 30 wherein they do not offer any longer than a one-year extension.

This season Godin has been near ever present for Diego Simeone’s side making 33 appearances, all barring three of which have come as a starter. In 2807 minutes on the park, the Rojiblancos captain has scored four goals and tallied three assists.
