West Ham have sparked an interest in signing Roma striker Edin Dzeko but according to a report from Corriere dello Sport, the Bosnian wants a move to Inter.

He is put off by the idea of West Ham due to the fact he will likely need to take a drop in salary, something he is unwilling to do.

With Inter and Roma facing off at San Siro this weekend, the Rome based newspaper report that this could give Dzeko an opportunity to understand what Inter’s intentions for him are.

He has little over a year left on his current deal at the Stadio Olimpico and Roma are keen to ensure they do not lose him for nothing and they have therefore stuck a €15 million price tag on his head which will allow them to pursue his replacement.

This season the 33-year-old has made 34 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored 13 goals and tallied eight assists.
