Currently Inter’s and Juventus dealings on the transfer market are intertwined, mainly because of the much talked-about swap between Icardi and Dybala.

Italian newspaper La Republica explains the situation deeper stating that: “Juventus plan is to get the most cash out of a Dybala and Douglas Costa transfer, in order to acquire a second striker. A player that can make the difference in all kinds of formations from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2.”

“The favorite for this role is still Federico Chiesa, who will leave Fiorentina during this summer for a high price as he has many suitors from Inter to Roma, but he is a target for and therefore his price tag will most likely not go below €80 million.”

This is a sum that is not too far away from what Juventus hope to cash in on Paulo Dybala:

“At the moment the Argentinian has no admirers that are willing to take the final step, as Real will go for Chelsea’s Hazard in the summer and this situation is a lot like the one concerning Icardi which brings us back to the Dybala-Icardi swap.”

“But there are sources that claim this swap will never happen due to deteriorating relationship between Inter CEO Marotta and Juventus CEO Paratici. But at the same time, the two directors know that this would be a convenient solution for both parties.”

“It’s true that it would be a bit problematic for Juventus to have both Cristiano Ronaldo and Icardi in the squad at the same time. But at the same time Juventus must plan for a future without the Portuguese striker so the conclusion could be to make the swap and send Higuain elsewhere or do nothing at all and go for Mandzukic and wait for Kean to mature.”
