Joao Mario could be playing his football far from Inter next season, at least according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Portuguese midfielder was one of the first signings of the Suning era but has failed to nail down a starting berth during his time with the club and has never truly lived up to the lofty expectations people had of him upon his arrival.

According to the report, he has several admirers, one of whom is Monaco. The French club are already performing their initial assessments on the former Sporting Lisbon player.

As of July 1, he will have a value of €18 million on Inter’s books so it can be presumed that Inter will want at least that for him.

The report goes on to state that due to his stint with West Ham on loan last season, there is also a possibility that he could make a Premier League return.

This season the 26-year-old has made 21 appearances in which he has scored once and tallied three assists in almost 1200 minutes on the field.
