Inter could use Matteo Politano as a bargaining chip in their bid to sign Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

La Viola are understood to be commanding around €80 million for Italian international Chiesa, a considerable amount of money for any team to pay in full.

Due to this, Inter could look to insert Politano as part of the deal in an attempt to try and bring the price down that they would have to pay for Chiesa.

Inter have long been courting Chiesa but are not alone in doing so with Juventus reportedly also very interested in signing him.

This season Chiesa, who is contracted to the Florence based club until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 39 appearances across all competitions.

In just over 3200 minutes on the field, the 21-year-old has scored 12 goals and also tallied nine assists.
