French giants Paris Saint Germain are interested in signing Inter striker Mauro Icardi in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
With Edinson Cavani potentially leaving the Parc des Princes, PSG are on the look-out for a replacement and have identified the Argentine as a player who could potentially replace the Uruguayan.
However, according to the Milan based newspaper, the 26-year-old Argentine would prefer to remain in Italy rather than moving elsewhere.
If unable to remain in Italy, there are only a select few foreign destinations that the former Sampdoria player would entertain with Gazzetta suggesting Atletico Madrid could be one such place.
This season Icardi has made 34 appearances across all competitions for Inter, who he is under contract with until the end of the 2020/21 season. In 2778 minutes on the park, the Argentine international has netted 16 goals and has provided five assists for teammates.
