After the win against Chievo at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti answered questions from the gathering media in the official post match press conference.

“It’s correct that there are some people that has to analyze and make decisions in order for your position to improve. We never want it to be our turn, but it happens to everyone that you have to give something back.

“There is always someone judging us, that happens and it’s not a problem. But if one thing is reported every day for three months, there is a will to create turbulence and destabilize. Here it’s been like this for nine years.”

“It’s part of my job description [to be worried about being fired] and in Italy things are uncertain, in some ways it’s the right thing to do because a club like Inter must choose what is best for the club. But let’s not forget where we started from.”

“If I seem resigned? That is offensive. This is offensive to me. You are resigned. Do you have a problem? If you have any problems come and I’ll give you my determination and my character. I don’t think you are very calm with that gaze looking a bit white and haggard.”

“In different ways everyone had a good game. We changed half of our defense and the boys did a good job, a symbol of us doing a good job. Asamoah did well, his quality is to get out of the defensive zone with targeted balls that can make a difference.”

“We left some points behind in games where we under-performed, but the team has grown since and has fewer and fewer moments where the level of play is below what is acceptable. We gave a smart, mature and solid team effort, because when you fail to score goals it’s easy that you lose the order of how to play. Like every other team, we are working on correcting small things. Something that can’t show up for the next two games.”
