Wanda Icardi, the wife and agent of Inter striker Mauro Icardi, has defended her client and husband and insisted that despite media speculation suggesting otherwise, he is not thinking about a move to Inter’s arch-rivals Juventus.
“He has never said he wanted Juve, that is not what he thinks. No-one has heard Mauro talk since he had the captaincy taken away from him,” she said as she appeared on Tiki Taka.
“It was ugly what Gazzetta dello Sport did to him as they attributed words to him which he never said. It is not right for a newspaper to come out and do this.”
She also spoke on her now deleted Instagram story, which included her hitting back at football pundit Lele Adani, who labelled her husband’s goal useless: “The Instagram story about the penalty? I always do it for good luck for him and it was not a useless goal given the situation.”
