Manchester United’s executive Vice-Chairman Ed Woodward will soon meet with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio, to discuss the transfer of Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku, British tabloid Daily Mirror report.

According to the report, Inter want to include Ivan Perisic in the deal to lower the cash part of the offer but Man United are not too keen on the proposal, as manager Solskaer want to build his team around young players.

However, Lukaku is very keen to move to the Serie A and Inter and therefore his willingness could facilitate an agreement being reached.

“United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly happy to sanction the sale of his frontman, but it is not known whether he is willing to take Perisic as part of the agreement.”

“Solskaer is in the market for a winger, but has placed a priority on signing youth players, with Perisic having already turned 30. With United closing in on the transfer of Swansea wideman Daniel James, the addition of Perisic now seems unlikely.”

“That could put Lukaku’s potential transfer to Inter on ice, but the player’s agent Federico Pastorello is determined to help smooth negotiations in order to force a move for his client.”
