According to Spanish newspaper AS, Inter are once again targeting Espanyol’s young Spanish U-21 international Marc Roca.

According to the report Roca is “a key player for Espanyol and there is one club that is impressed by what the Spanish Under 21 international has shown so far, and that club is Inter.”

“The Inter management tried to snag the player during this year’s Winter transfer window and will return to try again during this year’s Summer transfer window. This according to sources close to the player and the club itself.”

“Inter has a medium-to-high aged squad with an average of 29 years and have identified players with the possibility to grow at the club as their objective. Roca matches that profile perfectly. Inter is not the only club interested in signing the player, but they are the most eager club at the moment.”

“The €40 million buy-out clause is not unreasonable for a club with a squad values at around €550 million, according to Transfermarkt, although Inter will try to negotiate a bit with Espanyol.”

“The player’s entourage claim that a transfer this Summer will be difficult, but anything is possible.”
