Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta had a decisive meeting with Cagliari president Tomasso Giulini to discuss the Italian national team player.

The total cost of the deal will be around €45 million between the cash element and the values of counterparts. According to the broadcaster goalkeeper Andrei Radu is almost certain to be one of the counterparts.

The report goes on to state that Inter have also taken further steps toward signing PSV Eindhoven star Steven Bergwijn.

Inter deem Bergwijn as the perfect replacement for Ivan Perisic who seems destined to leave this Summer and Inter have already made a €25 million offer although it is understood that the Dutch club are holding out for closer to €40 million.
