Radja Nainggolan’s Inter future is in doubt as new head coach Antonio Conte cracks the whip on the Nerazzurri’s dysfunctional squad.

Nainggolan was courted by Conte on more than one occasion during the latter’s spells in charge of Juventus and Chelsea, with the Belgian ultimately opting to stay at Roma.

However, Tuttosport today reported Conte could sanction the midfielder’s departure if he thinks he is no longer serviceable for a top club.

“Conte will need to analyse the evolution of Nainggolan’s career since he chased him all those years ago,” the paper explained today.

“The Nerazzurri’s no. 14 has the tactical and temperamental qualities Conte likes and he will be counting on him next season, but only on the condition Nainggolan is still the player he admired at Roma.”

Conte wants every member of his squad to be performing to their full potential next season when he begins life as Inter’s new head coach.

The former Italy boss is convinced he cannot afford to indulge anyone as he looks to take the challenge to his former club Juventus in Serie A.
