Maurizio Sarri wants to make Inter striker Mauro Icardi his first signing as Juventus head coach when he is appointed this week, according to Libero.

Sarri is due to be announced as Massimiliano Allegri’s replacement in the coming days after receiving the all-clear by his current club Chelsea, who will release him from his contract.

The Italian attempted to sign Icardi during his time at Napoli and would not stand in the way of an eventual swap deal with Paulo Dybala – although Dybala himself remains unconvinced.

“Icardi is Sarri’s first transfer request for Juventus and the move could take place via a swap with Dybala,” the paper reported this morning.

“Juventus, however, have not yet given their OK to the deal.

“Inter believe Dybala and Icardi are both worth €80 million and would want to arrange a straight swap, whereas Juventus value Icardi at €60-70 million and Dybala at a minimum of €100 million.”
