Fiorentina are trying to convince Italian international winger Federico Chiesa, to stay at the club according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert, Gianluca Di Marzio.

According to the report, new Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso’s right-hand man, Joe Barone, has spoken with Chiesa’s entourage to reiterate the new ownership’s will to keep him at the club.

Barone has spoken to Federico’s father, Enrico, who acts as an adviser to his son and there will soon be a meeting between the parties to clarify what the player himself wants.

Chiesa, who is also being tracked by Inter, has however an agreement in principle in place with Juventus, but is under contract with Fiorentina until the end of June 2022, with no minimum release fee clauses that can be triggered by any club.

The 21 year old winger came up the ranks at Fiorentina and made his first team debut for the Viola during the 2016/2017 season, and has since then featured 113 times across all competitions for the Viola scoring 22 times.
