Cagliari are hopeful that Nicolo Barella could raise his value by garnering further interest in his services during the Under 21 European Championship according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Inter are long term admirers of the 22-year-old and have held several talks with the Rossoblu over him but the clubs have struggled to agree terms.

Barella has set his sights on a move to Inter and, as per some reports, already has an agreement over personal terms with the Nerazzurri.

The Sardinian outfit have been holding firm on their €50 million demands for him and hope that more clubs showing an interest might push his value up a bit. This does of course heavily rely on Barella performing as expected at the tournament in Italy.

During the 2018/19 season, the midfielder made 38 appearances across all competitions for his hometown club. In 3383 minutes on the park, he scored one goal and tallied four assists.
