Gabriele Oriali will officially finalise his return to Inter as the club’s team manager this week, according to Tuttosport.

The 66-year-old was spotted in the Nerazzurri’s new headquarters yesterday as the club inaugurated their offices in The Corner, a building in the Porta Nuova area of Milan.

Oriali also attended a meeting with head coach Antonio Conte and his backroom staff last week, showing he has already started working for Inter again.

“When Conte starts preseason training on 8 July he’ll have with him the man he appreciated so much while in charge of the Italian national team,” Tuttosport said.

“Oriali is a trusted colleague but also a living example of ‘interismo’, as demonstrated by the 392 matches he played for the club between 1970 and 1983.”

Conte and Oriali spent two years working together for Italy, reaching the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 in France.

The ex-midfielder previously worked at Inter in a managerial role for 11 years, helping coaches such as Roberto Mancini and Jose Mourinho rewrite the club’s history.
