After having all but wrapped up the signing of young Italian international midfielder Stefano Sensi from Sassuolo, Inter are now fully focused on closing the deal for Cagliari’s young Italian international midfielder Nicolo Barella, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report, therefore, the Nerazzurri’s signing of Sensi does not in any way exclude the arrival of Barella who is currently part of the Italy U21 national team that is taking part of the European Championships, in Bologna and Cesena.

The Nerazzurri continue to press strongly forward with the negotiations for Barella with Cagliari, having been boosted by the player’s clear will to join Inter and work with Antonio Conte, having refused approaches from all other Italian club’s, including Roma.

Barella came up through the youth ranks at Cagliari and has since making his first team debut for the team from Sardinia, featured 112 times across all competitions scoring 7 goals in the process.
