Inter face an uphill battle to sell Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan before the end of this summer, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri are currently focused on raising the funds they need to satisfy Financial Fair Play requirements but will soon turn their attention to first-team sales.

Joao Miranda is poised for a return to Brazil, Jorge Mendes is working to move on Joao Mario while Borja Valero is ‘tempted’ by a return to Fiorentina.

Icardi and Nainggolan remain difficult to move, though, after the club told both they were not part of new head coach Antonio Conte’s plans.

Both players will take part in Inter’s preseason training in Lugano, which begins on 7 July, because Inter have no interest in risking legal proceedings from either.

Neither will take part in tactical drills or feature in Conte’s preseason friendlies, though, because neither have a future with the Nerazzurri.

Nainggolan is worth €30 million in Inter’s books at the moment and is therefore difficult to sell, increasing the chances of a loan move before the end of August.

The Ninja has interest from China as well as rumours linking him to Monaco, but he would have to accept whichever destination were put to him.

Icardi has been persistently linked with Juventus this summer but Maurizio Sarri’s idea to play Cristiano Ronaldo as a centre-forward could scupper any move.

Wanda Nara yesterday denied she had phoned Conte to ask for his intentions with Icardi, who still wants to stay at Inter despite everything.

Ivan Perisic is not considered untouchable by Conte either, but the Italian will meet with the forward to discuss his future during preseason.

Perisic could be sold if he is deemed to not have the right motivation for another season with Inter, having already asked to leave the club in January.
