Inter will tie their young forward Sebastiano Esposito down to a new three-year deal after rejecting interest from other clubs, according to Tuttosport.

Esposito enjoyed a memorable 2018-19 season, which saw him star at the under-17 European Championships for Italy and become Inter’s youngest ever European debutant against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 16-year-old also scored a hat-trick as the Nerazzurri secured the under-17 league title with a 3-1 win over Roma last month.

Inter received an offer from Roma during talks for Edin Dzeko but had no intention of letting Esposito slip through their fingers.

The player was aged 16 years and 255 days when Luciano Spalletti brought him on as a substitute for the final 18 minutes against Frankfurt on 14 March.

Paris Saint-Germain were linked with him earlier in the summer, but it seems they were not the only club interested.

Esposito will take part in preseason training under Antonio Conte but is likely to play with the Primavera team this year.
