Miranda would prefer to stay in Europe than move to Asia to continue his career according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.

The Brazilian is expected to depart Inter during the course of the Summer transfer window having been pushed further down the pecking order at the club following the arrival of Diego Godin on a free transfer following the expiration of his Atletico Madrid deal.

China looked the most likely destination a few weeks back for Miranda but with him wanting to stay in Europe, French outfit Monaco are currently the veteran defender’s most likely next destination.

The 34-year-old has been on Inter’s books since 2016 and has suited up for the club on no less than 121 times competitively in the time since, scoring once and providing theee assists in the process.

This past season, Miranda, was limited to just 20 appearances across all competitions with now sacked manager Luciano Spalletti preferring the defensive partnership of Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij instead.
