Inter boss Antonio Conte met Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio for a second transfer summit yesterday, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Conte, Marotta and Ausilio attended a meeting on Monday which also featured the Nerazzurri’s president Steven Zhang and corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello, as well as Suning boss Zhang Jindong.

But the three of them spoke again on Tuesday in order to further explore Inter’s transfer strategy, with Conte known to be anxious about his shortage of centre-forwards.

First team technical manager Lele Oriali was also in attendance and backed the club’s official line, which is thought to prioritise financial stability over high-risk signings.

Conte faces former club Juventus in Inter’s second International Champions Cup match today, having lost against Manchester United on Saturday.

Last week he told reporters Inter were ‘behind schedule’ in the market, both in terms of selling and signing players, and gave his employers the hurry up in no uncertain terms.

Marotta insisted the club had a shared vision with Conte after Monday’s summit in Nanjing, but added that Inter could not afford to make crazy offers for players due to Financial Fair Play.
