Samuele Longo is now free to join Deportivo La Coruna after finishing his duties on Inter’s preseason tour, AS reminded its readers today.

The 27-year-old played 144 minutes across the three matches against Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, scoring against the French champions yesterday.

He will now return to Spain for a sixth different loan spell, having already represented Espanyol, Rayo Vallecano, Girona, Tenerife and Huesca.

Longo scored one goal in 15 appearances for Huesca last season, before leaving in January to play for Cremonese in Serie B.

His stoppage-time equaliser against PSG in Macao enabled Inter to take their International Super Cup to a penalty shoot-out, which they won 6-5.

Antonio Conte then reserved words of praise for Longo in his post-match press conference, describing him as ‘a really good player’.

Conte said: “He’s made an excellent impression and is putting in a lot of effort. I’m very happy for him because he’s had a long time out with injury and now he’s ready to play.”
