Sampdoria are considering a loan offer for Inter forward Matteo Politano, according to Tuttosport.

Politano was surprisingly linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri last week, as reports suggested he was not an ideal fit for Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system.

Eusebio Di Francesco wants to evaluate all the players in his new Blucerchiati squad before giving the green light, at which point Samp would propose a loan with an option to buy.

Fiorentina, Atalanta and Roma are all interested in signing the 25-year-old too.

Inter signed Politano on a permanent basis from Sassuolo last month, paying the Neroverdi €20 million after an initial loan spell.

The Italian international scored six goals in all competitions during his debut campaign in Milan, quickly becoming Luciano Spalletti’s first choice on the right wing.

Politano missed all three of Inter’s preseason friendlies in Asia with a thigh injury, but he should return for the clash with Tottenham next Sunday.
