Inter legend Alessandro Altobelli celebrated 42 years since his first goal for the Nerazzurri on Wednesday.

Spillo made more than 450 appearances for the club and helped Inter secure the Serie A title under Eugenio Bersellini in 1980.

He also won the Coppa Italia twice in Milan, scoring in the final against Napoli in 1978 and then against Torino in 1982.

Altobelli wrote on Instagram: “21 August 1977. In a Coppa Italia match between Como and Inter I scored my first goal with the Nerazzurri’s shirt.

“I would score another 208 before leaving in 1988, becoming the second highest goal-scorer in the club’s history.

“Buon campionato, amala!”
