Roberto Gagliardini will stay at Inter this summer despite being linked with moves to Lazio and Monaco, according to FcInterNews.it.

The midfielder was named as a potential makeweight in a deal for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, before receiving interest from the Ligue 1 outfit.

But Gagliardini is due to remain in Milan for another season at least because he has the confidence of new boss Antonio Conte.

The former Atalanta man played 17 minutes as a substitute last night as Inter kicked off their Serie A campaign with a 4-0 win at home to Lecce.

Gagliardini’s agent Giuseppe Riso also manages three other players currently on Inter’s books, with last-minute deals possible for all three.

Federico Dimarco, for instance, could yet leave the club before Monday’s transfer deadline if Inter complete a deal to resign Cristiano Biraghi from Fiorentina.

Torino and Atalanta are interested in the full-back while Spal and Atalanta have also made approaches.

Dimarco would leave on loan with an option to buy, although Inter want to maintain a ‘counter-option’ with whoever club the 21-year-old joins.

Elsewhere, Pietro Pellegri could be set for a return to Italy after Riso offered him to Inter and AC Milan, both of whom are thought to be interested.

Inter could look to arrange a loan deal with Monaco and sign the 18-year-old as back-up for Romelu Lukaku, although Conte may not need another reinforcement in attack if Alexis Sanchez arrives.

Eddie Salcedo, meanwhile, is on the verge of joining Hellas Verona on a season-long loan.

The former Genoa striker should get the all clear to join the newly-promoted side today, where he hopes to gain further experience playing in Serie A.
