Wanda Icardi, the wife, and agent, of Inter striker Mauro Icardi has confirmed that Argentine powerhouses Boca Juniors are interested in signing him.

The 26-year-old was told earlier this Summer by club management that he was no longer considered as part of the Nerazzurri project but has maintained that he wishes to remain at the club despite this and the fact he has not played any part whatsoever in pre-season or competitive matches.

A few high-profile European clubs, such as Paris Saint Germain, have shown an interest but nothing has ultimately come to fruition for the Argentine international, who risks sitting on the sidelines at least until January unless he finds himself a new side.

Speaking in an interview with Argentine news outlet TyC Sports Wanda said: “Boca is Boca, I would like to see him join them on loan for six months. I could not believe that they were interested.”
