Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin rubbishes rumors linking Inter Milan with Joshua Zirkzee and Albert Gudmundsson.

The two attackers have been among the best revelations of the Serie A campaign, thus earning themselves a flurry of suitors from Italy and abroad.

Zirkzee is a 22-year-old Dutch striker who has been spearheading Bologna’s charge towards a historic Champions League qualification.

On the other hand, Gudmundsson is a 26-year-old Icelandic second striker who emerged as Genoa’s ultimate talisman this season.

Nevertheless, Biasin rules out either man’s arrival to Appiano Gentile, labeling it as ‘fantasy football’.

“At this moment, no Inter player wants to leave and no offer has arrived,” revealed the journalist during his appearance on Iotifointer’s YouTube channel via FcInter1908.

“However, the Nerazzurri managers have shown that they know how to deal with this type of situation.

“At this moment, I read names like Zirkzee or Gudmundsson linked to Inter which is fantasy football. Not only do they cost a lot, but the club already has enough cover in these positions.”

On the other hand, Biasin expects the arrival of a new goalkeeper while confirming Emil Audero’s departure.

He also expects the Nerazzurri to sign a young centre-back who can take the torch from Francesco Acerbi in the future.

“I know that Inter is working to bring in a future first-choice goalkeeper to Milan. We’re talking about someone who will be Sommer’s deputy for next season. Audero won’t stay on a permanent basis.

“And then the club will be looking to sign a defender. They want someone young, yet quite established, who can improve with Acerbi and de Vrij. That’s the role that deserves the most attention

“In attack, the Nerazzurri will have Lautaro, Thuram, Arnautovic and Taremi.”

Finally, the journalist touched on the contract extension front.

“Once the objective has been reached, the announcements will arrive. Starting with Inzaghi. The announcement of his renewal will be soon, there is no problem.

“There is no reason to worry about Lautaro and Barella either. We just need to find the right formula. The parties should complete their agreements before the 20th of May.
