Parma midfielder Matteo Scozzarella spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia following the club’s 2-2 draw against Inter at the San Siro tonight.

“We couldn’t dominate here against such a strong Inter,” he said.

“It’s a shame about the second goal for the 2-2, because otherwise we did what we had prepared. It was still a great game.

“We have to think that today’s performance must be the precursor to a great match on Tuesday, otherwise it will all have been pointless.

“In these years we’ve always reacted to difficult moments, we fight for each other and then we make the most of our individual talent.”

The Nerazzurri had the opportunity to overtake Juventus at the top of the Serie A table after their 1-1 draw against Lecce earlier this afternoon, but their failure to find a third goal instead still leaves them one point behind the league leaders.

Parma are now seventh in the league after this draw, but all their rivals for European competition play tomorrow.
