Roberto Gagliardini felt Inter did not get the result they deserved in their 2-2 draw against Parma.

The Nerazzurri had the chance to leapfrog Juventus at the top of the Serie A table after Maurizio Sarri’s side drew 1-1 at Lecce earlier on Saturday.

But goals from Antonio Candreva and Romelu Lukaku were only enough to secure a point, following first-half strikes from Yann Karamoh and Gervinho.

“In the first half we started at a slow pace, but we always had a foot in the game,” the midfielder told InterTV.

“We did well to take the lead and then we conceded two goals from our own mistakes. From that moment until half-time there was a period of adjustment.

“Given how we played in the second half, we certainly deserved to win. But that wasn’t the case. Now let’s think about Brescia.

“We always have to make up for the mistakes of our team-mates and that’s not how it was. We knew that they would play on the counter.

“In the second half there was a strong reaction: we scored immediately and then we did enough to deserve the 3-2 lead.

“Did the match against Borussia Dortmund hamper our physical condition? I don’t think so. Tomorrow we’ll have a look at the match with the coach and see where we got it wrong.”
