Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia yesterday following the Partenopei’s 1-1 draw against SPAL.

“A missed opportunity? All draws can be, but more could not be done today: for the performance the guys would have deserved the victory. Juventus and Inter also missed an opportunity with yesterday’s draws. Everyone is paying for something in Champions League Week. In our club, there’s no drama or controversy: they’re not part of this environment.”

Napoli’s draw against SPAL yesterday meant that three of the top four all failed to capitalise on their opponents dropped points, with only Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta winning their game.

This means that the Bergamo based club are now much closer to the top of the table than previously expected, only two points behind the Nerazzurri and three points behind league leaders Juventus.

Napoli, on the other hand, are now five points behind Inter and six points behind the Bianconeri.
